Building Surveyor
Our client requires a Building Surveyor for about 6 months work, to start as soon as possible.
Ideally, you will be professionally qualified and capable of undertaking condition surveys of schools and other public buildings. The surveys are carried out in a format required by Central Government, and involves identifying condition issues, categorising priority and giving an estimate of repair cost. They will need to be familiar with maintenance works and the costs associated with such projects. You will also need to be up to date with current legislation so that you are able to identify condition issues which are legislation led, as well as those items of repair which are associated with maintenance.
Survey information is recorded in portable pda devices, and a basic IT competence will be required.
You will be based in Exeter, but will be required to travel daily to sites throughout Devon, for which travelling expenses will be paid
